The primary

Won the PRP presidential primary held on 25 May 2026 with 6,499 votes, ahead of Kingsley Yakubu (2,699) and Nnaoke Ufere (784); results were declared by national chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed on 26 May. Ufere's campaign alleged that votes exceeded the party's membership register in some states.

Disputes and court cases
  • Court case: PRP aspirant Yakubu Kingsley sued (FHC/ABJ/CS/1234/2026) to void Duke's nomination, alleging he was not on the party register submitted to INEC on 4 May and that votes were inflated. The Federal High Court, Abuja dismissed the suit on 30 September 2026 as statute-barred and, on the merits, for lack of proof. No appeal had been reported as of 1 October 2026.
