Elected chairman of Burutu LGA in the 13 July 2024 local government election conducted by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); sworn in by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on 15 July 2024. Delta's council chairmen moved from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with Governor Oborevwori in April 2025.
