Elected vice chairman of Agege Local Government Area in the 12 July 2025 local government election conducted by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and sworn in on 27 July 2025. Confirmed as chairman by the Agege Legislative Council after the elected chairman, Tunde Azeez, resigned on health grounds on 5 November 2025, and sworn in as substantive chairman by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in December 2025.
