Ijeoma O. Agugua

Sworn in by Governor Hope Uzodimma as Acting Chief Judge of Imo State in September 2025 on the NJC's recommendation, after the NJC retired the previous Chief Judge in 2024. The NJC has repeatedly extended her acting appointment, most recently to 26 September 2026, pending appointment of a substantive Chief Judge. Reporting on 8 September 2026 said Imo still had no substantive Chief Judge.
