Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has said Nigeria's future remains bright under the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, urging citizens to stay hopeful and support efforts to address the country's challenges, TVC News reports.
Speaking as Nigeria marked its 66th Independence anniversary, Namadi said nation-building requires patriotism, collective sacrifice and cooperation between citizens and all levels of government. He cited ongoing reforms, infrastructure projects and better public services as signs of progress.
Namadi has also started meeting APC stakeholders in Jigawa North-West Senatorial District to prepare for the 2027 polls. The talks, he said, aim to strengthen the party and coordinate its work, including backing for President Bola Tinubu and the APC's candidates in Jigawa.
Ahmed Maikudi M.K., the party's state chairman, said the APC's structure across Jigawa had been consolidated under Namadi and that it was getting ready for the elections.
